Teacher Wellbeing In Full Bloom
Summer Mindfulness And Reconnection
Welcome to The Flourishing Teacher’s Field Guide.
It’s the summer holiday, and we’re both enjoying some well-earned rest and relaxation.
Holidays, day trips and lots of time with friends and family. You name it, we’re filling the summer with it!
Even so, we’ve found time to put together a fab resource, especially for you.
We had such lovely feedback about last week’s Nature Bingo (and well done if you’re still crossing off those bingo lines - let us know when you’ve got a row) that we hope you enjoy this free activity sheet just as much.
This week, we’re all about the pursuit of some summer mindfulness to help boost that sometimes elusive teacher wellbeing feeling.
We are Marigolds, after all, so let’s enjoy some…
Start by picking one of the lovely activities we’ve suggested on our downloadable PDF, or choose a few of your own instead.
Take the time and space to enjoy them, and actively reflect on them while you’re doing them, acknowledging their value to you.
After all, simple activities like reading a book that isn’t for work or cooking a new meal from scratch can make a world of difference to your wellbeing, but the value really builds when you recognise their purpose as you do them.
Simply print the resource, stick it on the fridge and colour in a petal or a leaf every time you plan and complete a mindful activity.
Easy!

We’d love to see your wonderful coloured-in creations because every coloured picture represents a whole heap of self-care.
And that’s wonderful, just like you.
In next week’s special summer issue, we’ll share another unique resource to help you get the most out of your summer and reconnect with who you are as a person, not just a teacher.
Until then, remember, you’re more than your marking, your lesson observations and your planning.
You’re you. And that’s all you need to be.
